If:
- you are reluctant to wear eyeglasses or contact lenses
- you are an active person, enjoying sport and physical exercise
- you are 21 years of age or older and you have no health problems
- your vision has been stable for at least twelve months before surgery,
then you are a good candidate for laser correction!
The final decision, however, can be taken only after a thorough preliminary eye examination.
WHEN ARE YOU NOT A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR LASER CORRECTION?
You cannot be a candidate for laser correction of eyesight defects if:

- you are under 21 years of age
- you are over 21 years of age but your defect is still changing. You should wait for your vision to stabilize.
- you are pregnant or breast-feeding.
Try when you stop breast-feeding. - you take steroids
Contraindications also include some of the chronic diseases, such as:
- diabetes
- connective tissue diseases (the so-called collagenoses) - e.g. rheumatoid arthritis, sclerodermia, lupus, polyarteritis nodosa, psoriasis, or Sjogren's syndrome
- auto-immune disease
- immunodeficiency disease
- atopy and severe allergies
- active infectious diseases
- individual tendency to form hyperplastic scars (keloids)
- implanted cordiac pacemaker
If you have suffered from keratitis, zoster ophthalmicus, glaucoma, cataract, retinal detachment or retinal degeneration, keratoconus or other corneal degeneration, hypolacrimation, eye vascular diseases, severe degenerative myopia or nystagmus
- you can not be a candidate for laser correction of eyesight defects.

IF YOU ARE A GOOD CANDIDATE FOR LASER VISION CORRECTION:
Contact our Medical Center MAVIT and the date of the preliminary examination will be appointed.
IMPORTANT!
- If you wear soft contact lenses, it is important to stop wearing them at least three weeks before the pre-treatment examination!
- If you wear hard contact lenses, you should stop wearing them at least four weeks before the pre-treatment examination!
- If you use oral contraception, do not stop taking the pills for three months before and after the pre-treatment examination!
Failure to do so may produce poor surgical results.
If the pre-treatment examination qualifies your eyesight defects for laser correction, the date of surgery will be appointed.
